Professional profile
Mr Pickford has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon specialising in hand surgery since 1997. Prior to that he spent a year at the Christine M Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, gaining experience in elective and emergency hand surgery.
His practice covers all hand conditions, distal to elbow and investigation and treatment of wrist pain by arthroscopy.
Mr Pickford’s interests also include common conditions such as osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, Dupuytrens disease and compression neuropathies.
Mr Pickford is the Head of the Trauma Management Group at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, working to improve the management and care of patients with upper limb injuries.
