    Facilities at the Horder Centre

    Coffee shop |ย We provide a range of beverages and hot and cold food as well as freeย internet access.

    Six outpatient consultation rooms

    Five outpatient therapy consulting rooms |ย For access to individual physiotherapy/osteopathy and other musculoskeletal services.

    Three operating theatres |ย All operating theatres are equipped with laminar flow and have suitable space and facilities to support a wide range of surgical procedures. We also have our own instrument decontamination facilities on site.

    Outpatient gym |ย Our outpatient gym provides state of the art fitness equipment and a tranquil space for classes which include fitness for the over 50s, Pilates, and yoga.

    Diagnostic suite |ย Our diagnostic suite provides access to radiology services including x-rays, ultrasound and MRI scanning.

    Day Services Unit |ย The Day Services Unit consists of three consulting rooms, one minor operations room, three patient lounges and 11 individual patient cubicles, thus providing a flexible space for assessment, admission and caring for day surgery patients.

    Inpatient bedrooms |ย Our individual patient bedrooms have spacious ensuite facilities with televisions and telephones. Decorated in muted colours they are designed to allow as much natural light as possible and many have garden views.

    Inpatient gym & therapy garden |ย The inpatient gym provides a large airy space for group classes to undergo physiotherapy. The outside therapy garden is designed to facilitate exercising outdoors (weather permitting) and give patients the opportunity to practice their mobility on carefully designed walkways containing alternative surfaces to fully prepare them for their home environment.

    Courtyard gardens |ย Within the inpatient area the courtyard spaces are designed to support a therapeutic and tranquil setting. Outdoor seating provided allows a quiet space for contemplation.

    Dining room |ย All food is freshly cooked on site and can be enjoyed by patients in their own room or in the dining room. Special dietary requirements can be provided for.

    Parking

    Parking at The Horder Centre is free. There is a large patient car park on-site and many of the surrounding roads are unrestricted.

    Disabled parking

    There are several allocated disabled parking spots near the entrance to The Horder Centre.

    Drop-off points

    There are multiple spaces opposite the main entrance.

    How to get here

    By car

    From the traffic lights in the centre of Crowborough, take the London Road and almost immediately turn left into St. Johnโ€™s Road and continue approximately half a mile. The Horder Centre entrance is on the left.

    By bus

    There are several bus routes which go through Crowborough. You will need to stop at Crowborough Cross and walk down St Johns Road towards The Horder Centre which is approx 1 mile from the main crossroads. We offer patient transport to and from the station if requested in advance.

    By train

    The nearest train station to The Horder Centre is Crowborough, which is a couple of miles away. We offer patient transport to and from the station if requested in advance.

    By community transport

    If you require assistance getting to and from our Horder Healthcare locations, there are several community transport services available in the surrounding areas:

    MediWAV

    MediWAV offers non-emergency patient transport for individuals needing assistance to attend hospital appointments, GP visits, dental check-ups, and other healthcare settings. They also provide transport for social outings and shopping trips. Services are tailored for those requiring extra support, including wheelchair users and individuals with special needs.

    HATCH (Hartfield Action Together with Colemans Hatch)

    A voluntary service supporting residents of Hartfield and Colemans Hatch with transport to medical appointments and social visits. HATCH is run by local volunteers and operates on a donation basis.

    This service supports residents of Forest Row and Ashurst Wood, particularly those registered with Ashdown Forest Health Centre, by providing transport to medical and dental appointments across Sussex, Surrey, and Kent.

    Age Concern Heathfield

    Offers a minibus service for shopping trips, lunch clubs, and social outings, as well as a hospital car service for health-related appointments. Services are available to elderly residents in the TN21 area.
