What services do we offer?

Coffee shop | We provide a range of beverages and hot and cold food as well as free internet access.

Six outpatient consultation rooms

Five outpatient therapy consulting rooms | For access to individual physiotherapy/osteopathy and other musculoskeletal services.

Three operating theatres | All operating theatres are equipped with laminar flow and have suitable space and facilities to support a wide range of surgical procedures. We also have our own instrument decontamination facilities on site.

Outpatient gym | Our outpatient gym provides state of the art fitness equipment and a tranquil space for classes which include fitness for the over 50s, Pilates, and yoga.

Diagnostic suite | Our diagnostic suite provides access to radiology services including x-rays, ultrasound and MRI scanning.

Day Services Unit | The Day Services Unit consists of three consulting rooms, one minor operations room, three patient lounges and 11 individual patient cubicles, thus providing a flexible space for assessment, admission and caring for day surgery patients.

Inpatient bedrooms | Our individual patient bedrooms have spacious ensuite facilities with televisions and telephones. Decorated in muted colours they are designed to allow as much natural light as possible and many have garden views.

Inpatient gym & therapy garden | The inpatient gym provides a large airy space for group classes to undergo physiotherapy. The outside therapy garden is designed to facilitate exercising outdoors (weather permitting) and give patients the opportunity to practice their mobility on carefully designed walkways containing alternative surfaces to fully prepare them for their home environment.

Courtyard gardens | Within the inpatient area the courtyard spaces are designed to support a therapeutic and tranquil setting. Outdoor seating provided allows a quiet space for contemplation.

Dining room | All food is freshly cooked on site and can be enjoyed by patients in their own room or in the dining room. Special dietary requirements can be provided for.

Parking at The Horder Centre is free. There is a large patient car park on-site and many of the surrounding roads are unrestricted.

Disabled parking

There are several allocated disabled parking spots near the entrance to The Horder Centre.

Drop-off points

There are multiple spaces opposite the main entrance.

By car
From the traffic lights in the centre of Crowborough, take the London Road and almost immediately turn left into St. John’s Road and continue approximately half a mile. The Horder Centre entrance is on the left.
By bus
There are several bus routes which go through Crowborough. You will need to stop at Crowborough Cross and walk down St Johns Road towards The Horder Centre which is approx 1 mile from the main crossroads. We offer patient transport to and from the station if requested in advance.
By train
The nearest train station to The Horder Centre is Crowborough, which is a couple of miles away. We offer patient transport to and from the station if requested in advance.

Mid Weald Voluntary Cars Forum

Mid Weald Voluntary Cars Forum provide a simple solution to transport problems in rural areas particularly for the older, more vulnerable or disabled residents. They all operate differently – some are dedicated wholly to transporting people to medical appointments, surgeries and hospitals and others take people to a whole range of different locations and activities.

The Action in rural Sussex Village Care Programme helped to identify and set up a network of such Schemes which developed into the Mid-Weald Voluntary Cars Forum with the aim of providing mutual support and promote further development in Community Transport.

Forest Row Community Transport

Forest Row Community Transport provides low-cost community transport to medical appointments for patients of Ashdown Forest GP Surgery and to residents of Forest Row parish, this is run by local volunteers. The drive team made up entirely of volunteers. Journeys can stretch as far as London, Brighton, Guildford and Maidstone.

Wealdlink

Wealdlink offer a variety of services from a town rider to door to door drop offs. These are available  for anyone who has difficulty accessing normal service buses. Passengers are required to register as members to use this service, this can be completed at the time of your first booking. Areas covered by Wealdlink include Crowborough, Rotherfield,  Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells.
