Nutrition and Hydration Week 2024

With around three million people at risk of malnutrition in the UK, Nutrition and Hydration Week (11-17 March) provides the opportunity to highlight the importance of preventing malnutrition and dehydration.

Together, nutrition and hydration play a pivotal role in sustaining physical and mental well-being. They impact energy levels, cognitive function, and the body's ability to recover from illness or injury. They are also key elements for both the pre and post-surgery phases, influencing the body's ability to endure surgery, support healing, and enhance recovery.

A well-balanced diet and sufficient water intake can also contribute to longevity, disease prevention, and the promotion of an active and vibrant lifestyle.
