“First-class treatment and care”

Patient feedback posted via nhs.uk

I recently had a hip replacement operation at the Horder Centre. The treatment and care I had there were absolutely superb.

I was initially given full information a month before my operation of the operation ahead and was able to prepare, for example, with exercises to strengthen my hip muscles.

On the day of my operation, I was treated with great care and attention by the surgeon, doctors and nurses, and the following morning was able to get up and walk a little. The next day I had continued help from the physiotherapy department and was, therefore, able to leave in good shape after only two nights at the hospital.

Only a week after my operation I'm already able to walk half a mile. The hospital has also contacted me asking if I have any problems - a further example of their very caring attitude.

I would undoubtedly recommend the Horder Centre to any person who requires a similar operation, as my personal treatment was perfect.
