We’re delighted to share that we have achieved Gold Status in the Wellbeing at Work Awards!
The Wellbeing at Work Award recognises employers who demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting employee wellbeing through a structured accreditation programme. Delivered by Public Health at East Sussex County Council, the programme provides a clear framework to help organisations improve the health and wellbeing of their workforce.
Having previously achieved both Bronze and Silver awards, Horder Healthcare has now reached Gold status, recognising the successful embedding of health and wellbeing into our organisational culture and positioning us as a role model for other employers.
During the assessment, the Wellbeing at Work team highlighted several key areas that contributed to this achievement:
- Colleague stories: Creating space for colleagues to share personal and emotive experiences, placing value in the voices of our staff. Topics have included anything from neurodiversity, menopause, breast cancer, and living with a disability, among many others.
- Promoting physical activity and our outdoor space: Initiatives such as the recently introduced Green Gym programme and encouraging both staff and the wider community to make use of the beautiful surroundings at The Horder Centre.
- Making the most of our clinical expertise: Examples such as our physiotherapy team providing advice and support to staff through drop-in sessions, as well as leading competitions and activities. All headed up with strong leadership and reinforcing a culture where “staff wellbeing is as important as every patient who walks through our doors.”
We’re proud to be one of only six organisations in the county to achieve Gold status.
