Professional profile
Michael graduated from the University of Brighton in 2009 after completing his MSc in Rehabilitation Science. He has worked at The Horder Centre from January 2010 – July 2011 as an inpatient physiotherapist, providing him with a wealth of experience in post-op rehabilitation.
He is now a member of the outpatient physiotherapy team where he brings his fitness and sports injury experience from previous employment and during his time as the Lead U16 England Men’s Basketball physiotherapist (2009-2011).
Prior to his post-graduate degree, Michael worked as a fitness instructor/personal trainer after completing a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Brighton in 2005, which enables him to bring experience in exercise prescription, goal-setting, and psychosocial elements of physiotherapy into his current job role.
More recently he has enrolled in an MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and has a special interest in spinal conditions whereby he also works as a spinal Advanced Practitioner with the Sussex MSK Partnership East.
However, Michael continues to enjoy treating a range of different conditions in his physiotherapy clinics and, since working in the outpatient physiotherapy department has completed further training to be able to provide Running Kinematic Assessments and teach APPI Modified Pilates.
