Mr Tofunmi Oni

Mr Tofunmi Oni is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. At The Horder Centre his practice covers hip replacement, knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, meniscus tear treatment and Arthrosamid knee injections. His particular expertise is revision hip surgery, replacing hip implants that have loosened, worn or failed, alongside complex primary hip and knee replacement where previous surgery, deformity or unusual anatomy makes the operation more demanding.

Mr Oni qualified from the University of Warwick and completed his specialist training on the Kent, Surrey and Sussex rotation. He then undertook a fellowship in hip and knee surgery in Sydney, Australia, where he trained in complex reconstruction and computer-assisted techniques. He is a strong advocate of robotic assisted joint replacement and uses technology where it improves the accuracy of implant positioning.

Alongside his private practice, Mr Oni is a substantive NHS Consultant at East Kent Hospitals, where his work includes complex hip and knee surgery and revision hip surgery. He leads the regional revision hip team in East Kent.
