Professional profile
Dan graduated as a Sports Rehabilitator at the University of Salford, Greater Manchester, in 2010. He has achieved membership to the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) having gained valuable experience with a number of professional sports clubs including Accrington Stanley FC, Sale Sharks RFC & Salford City Reds. In his early career, Dan continued pitch-side support & sports rehabilitation for sports teams, at both local & national level.
For more than 10 years, the majority of Dan’s work has been situated at Horder Healthcare where he have been heavily involved with the expansion of health and wellbeing classes ranging from arthritis care, balance, clinical Pilates and strength and conditioning for multiple age ranges. Dan has also become an invaluable member of the physiotherapy team providing support to arthritis patients through the ESCAPE Pain courses run at Horder Healthcare and 1 to 1 management of conditions ranging from post-operative care to return to sport exercises.
Dan’s passion for helping patient’s achieve their functional potential has been heavily influenced by his training in clinical Pilates as well as functional exercise education provided by Anatomy in Motion & the Gray Institute. Dan remains motivated to further improve his clinical skills to enhance patient care with consideration for psychosocial factors to aid rehabilitation.
