Becky Wells

Knee Surgery

Just one day after a knee cartilage repair at The Horder Centre, Becky Wells was able to walk pain-free for the first time in a year.

Becky, 44, had experienced problems with her knee locking when she walked for about a year before she went to see Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Sam Rajaratnam who was recommended to her.

Her operation was carried out privately earlier this week and the day after the procedure, she was able to walk her dogs without any pain.

She said: “I was full weight bearing straight away and even after the operation it did not hurt when I stood up. They say recovery is one to two weeks and that it can be six weeks for the swelling to go down, but I was able to bend my knee straight away.”

Becky, who is a qualified hypnotist and therapist, said:

“Although I was only at The Horder Centre a short time, everyone was very friendly and there was a real personal approach and you feel that you are listened to.”
